This watch is powered by Calibre 9R02, created by the Micro Artist Studio. This manual winding Spring Drive movement has two mainsprings set in parallel within a single barrel and uses the Torque Return System to deliver a power reserve of 84 hours.

The movement drives a slim and elegant watch whose whole design is inspired by the landscape that surroundings of the studio’s home, high in the mountains of central Japan. As the glide motion seconds hand sweeps across the dial, it represents the continuous ­flow of time in the winter and the beauty of the natural world in its purest, pristine state.

The Spring Drive movement, pioneered by Seiko Watch Corporation’s engineers, generates energy like a conventional mechanical watch – with a mainspring – but combines this with an electronic regulator to deliver a superior level of precision, never requiring a battery change.
